Connect & Construct – June 17

Today’s construction industry is more digital, diverse and dynamic than ever. Connect & Construct Summit at Autodesk University London is the pre-conference that brings the entire building ecosystem together for a compelling, educational and inspiring one-day event. Specifically, the event offers sessions that span the evolving and converging worlds of design, construction and operations. With inspiring keynotes, educational workshops and customer-led case studies, attendees will leave the event with new ideas and strategies they can apply to their construction businesses and projects.

Starting with the opening morning keynote, attendees will get a taste for the overall state of the changing construction industry. Jim Lynch, Vice President & General Manager of Autodesk Construction, will kick the event off by addressing the “Autodesk Construction & Industry Vision.” The keynote will also feature exclusive new product showcases from the Autodesk Construction Solutions Product Team, including demonstrations from Sameer Merchant and Steve Manning of PlanGrid.

Following the keynote, attendees will have the opportunity to network with their peers and speak with the construction experts–from ACS and our partners. In the afternoon, Connect & Construct will also host several classes and educational workshops. Autodesk University London – June 18-19

AU University London is a conference for all Autodesk software users, from those in manufacturing to media and from education to design. For those in the architecture, engineering and construction sector, exciting keynotes, sessions and classes are abundant.

For professionals in the European design and construction industry, AU London 2019 is the event to learn about how to maximise Building Information Modeling (BIM). Throughout the two-day event, BIM sessions include insight on working with ISO 19650 international standards, improving workflows, creating valuable close out packages as well as maintaining legal best practices.

One critical reason attendees go to AU London is to see how companies in their region are specifically utilising and benefiting from Autodesk solutions. The event will showcase exciting ways customers are using Autodesk products for design, construction and operations. These live case studies include sessions like an industry talk on June 19 with Yvonne Schröder from Switzerland-based construction management firm, Righetti Partner Group AG. In this session, called “Construction Technology Underpins Positive Collaboration at Righetti Partner Group,” she will share her experience implementing PlanGrid to improve collaboration and strengthen relationships with subcontractors, partners and customers.

Another exciting component of AU University is the opportunity to listen to and network with industry leaders. For instance, on June 18 at “Women in Construction: Leading the Way Today to Empower the Innovators of Tomorrow,” attendees will hear from females driving progress in the construction industry. Alison Watson, MBE, Founder and CEO of Class of Your Own and Tracy Young, Strategic Business Advisor Autodesk Construction Solutions and co-founder of PlanGrid, will take the stage to share their experiences. Whether you’re just getting started in your career or an established senior manager, this event is a can’t miss for all construction women and men attending Autodesk University.
